START WITH THE RIGHT FOUNDATION

Color & preparation

A little guidance with color. Plenty of care before the first coat.

Turn a feeling into a useful painting plan

You do not need a finished mood board to start. A calmer room, a brighter office, or a warmer entrance can be enough of a direction. We discuss the colors and materials that will stay, the light in the space, and the surfaces you want to change.

Narrow the color choices in your own space

Our inspiration palettes are conversation starters. Test physical samples near flooring, countertops, trim, and furniture, then view them in daylight and evening lighting. The final selection should identify a real product, color, and sheen rather than rely on a digital image.

Give preparation a written place in the scope

Surface cleaning, patching, sanding, masking, and protection are discussed for the actual project. Some conditions call for a repair or further assessment before painting. Those needs should be identified before additional work is agreed.

Know what this conversation includes

Color and preparation planning supports a defined painting project. The estimate explains the included work and any separately agreed guidance or preparation. Tell us if you already have colors chosen, need help narrowing options, or have a surface concern you want reviewed.
